Description of the Quality Classes for Eco ISPs
All providers need to meet the following criteria to be accepted for our database:
- Declaration of the source of the electricity (e.g. mention of the elictricity supplier)
- Credibility and transparency of the company or organization
- Information of the supplied product for the customer
- No nuclear power at all
Green Energy Type A
Mandatory criteria:
- The provider is specialized in green power.
- Ecological minimum standards for their equipment are fulfilled.
- Reselling is not allowed.
- The energy supplier needs to be independent of nuclear power plant.
Optional criteria (upgrading):
- The provider subsidizes renewable power plants.
- Construction of eco-electricity plants (innovative)
- Sustainability in the company
- Dealing with the customers in a professional way (data protection, outages)
- Support of the region by investments
Green Energy Type B
- The provider subsidizes renewable power plants.
- Ecological minimum standards for their equipment are fulfilled.
- The customers are informed about the origin of the planes.
- The energy is either renewable energy (REG-energy) or power from power heat cogeneration plants (CHP) without fossil fuels.
- The supplier can be a conventional energy supplier with an eco-power rate.
- Acquisition of renewable energy instead of in-house production is accepted.
Green Energy Type C
- Gives the information that he offers eco-power (without any background information).
- Holders of certificates (e.g. RECS) are accepted.
